New Discussion Group for Therapists

Exploring AI in Our Clinical Work

Are you curious about how Artificial Intelligence (AI)
might shape the future of psychotherapy?

Join a collegial, exploratory discussion group designed for licensed psychotherapists interested in understanding and engaging with AI in thoughtful, ethical, and practical ways. This is not a training or technical workshop.

What This Group Offers

A reflective space to ask questions, explore new ideas, and consider how AI might support or challenge the work we do with clients:

  •  A chance to reflect on how AI intersects with our clinical work
  •  An open space to share insights, concerns, and best practices—including HIPAA and privacy considerations
  • No tech background required—just curiosity and a willingness to think together

Who Should Join

This group is for psychotherapists (LMFTs, LCSWs, psychologists, LPCCs, etc.) who are curious about:

  •  Emerging uses of AI in mental health
  • The ethical landscape of AI and clinical practice
  • Opportunities and limitations of integrating AI tools
  • How to stay informed and grounded in a rapidly changing world

Let’s explore the future of therapy—together.

Inspired by Thought Leader De Kai, PhD

This group was sparked by a powerful lecture by De Kai, PhD (UC Berkeley) and his 2025 book Raising AI —a timely reflection on how we relate to AI at both the personal and societal level.
